As a child, I remember Christmas day meant being surrounded by uncles, aunts, cousins and grandparents... candy, new clothes, toys and gifts... excitement and laughter filled the air. I am sure most of you would remember spending your Christmas the same way. But for many children Christmas, being with family or receiving a gift is but a dream.
Because of dear friends like you, our children had their fantasy fulfilled. Thank you for loving our children. Thank you for buying gifts from our wish list and for financially helping us. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers and for being a channel to help them hear the story of Jesus. In addition to the joy these tender hearts felt, 22 children gave their hearts to Jesus that morning!
This past year was very difficult financially, many distressing news and the lockdowns burdened us. We didn't want our children home kiddos to be expectant of a big Christmas. I received a phone call from India a few weeks ago saying that since we didn't have enough to cover expenses the electricity for the children home was cut off. When I heard that my heart became heavy and I felt like I had failed. I pulled myself together since I had a meeting with someone that morning and continued with my day. This idea of a Christmas Wishlist on Amazon India was birthed through my conversation with the lovely lady that day and within hours the conversation turned in to an actual Wishlist and and the rest is history.
Isaiah 43:18-19 says, 'Look! I’m doing a new thing; now it sprouts up; I’m making a way in the desert, paths in the wilderness.' It is easy to get stuck in the past and be held back emotionally, but the only way to truly welcome a fresh start is to look forward, not back. Take a deep breath, envision the future that you want, and take that first step.
Happy and Blessed New Year 2021!
I love you all so much and appreciate your support.
